These Terms of Service govern your use of HyPair — the race partner matching app for hybrid athletes. By creating an account or using HyPair, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use HyPair.
HyPair Ltd is a private limited company incorporated in Ireland. References to "HyPair", "we", "us" or "our" mean HyPair Ltd. Contact us at hello@hypair.app.
You must be at least 18 years old to use HyPair. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over. If we discover that a user is under 18 we will delete their account immediately.
You must be a genuine hybrid race athlete or someone interested in participating in events such as HYROX, Spartan Race, Tryka, or Athex. HyPair is not a general social network.
HyPair exists to help athletes find compatible doubles partners for hybrid race events. It is not a dating app, a general social network, or a platform for commercial promotion. Use it only for its intended purpose.
When using HyPair you must not:
You own the content you post on HyPair — your profile photo, bio, and messages. By posting content you grant HyPair a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the app for the purpose of providing the service.
You are responsible for any content you post. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.
HyPair is an introduction platform only. We connect athletes who may be compatible as race partners. Our role ends at the introduction. We are not a race organiser, ticketing platform, event operator, booking agent, or party to any agreement made between athletes.
No-shows and commitment failures. HyPair cannot guarantee that a matched athlete will register for an event, show up on race day, or honour any commitment made through the app. If your partner withdraws, fails to appear, or does not follow through on any agreement, that is a matter between you and them. HyPair is not liable for any loss — financial or otherwise — arising from a partner's failure to participate.
Financial disputes between athletes. Any money exchanged between athletes — whether for entry fees, travel, shared accommodation, or any other purpose — is a private transaction. HyPair is not a party to it, does not facilitate it, and is not responsible for any dispute, loss, non-payment, or fraud arising from it. If you choose to transfer money to another athlete you have met through HyPair, you do so entirely at your own risk.
Accuracy of athlete profiles. Athletes self-report their pace, personal bests, training frequency, and other performance data. HyPair does not verify this information. We make no representation that any athlete's stated ability, fitness level, or race history is accurate. You should discuss performance expectations directly with a potential partner before making any financial commitments or race registrations.
In-person meetings and safety. When you arrange to meet, train with, or race alongside another athlete you have connected with through HyPair, you do so at your own risk. HyPair strongly recommends that you: meet in public places initially; inform someone you trust of your plans; and use your own judgement before sharing personal contact details or financial information with another user.
No guarantee of match quality. HyPair uses compatibility signals to suggest potential partners, but we do not guarantee that any suggested match will be suitable for your goals, pace, schedule, or race. The final decision to connect with, train alongside, or race with another athlete is entirely yours.
Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by HyPair's own negligence.
HyPair works with gyms, fitness studios, and training venues ("gym partners") to promote the platform to their members. The following applies to all gym partner relationships:
HyPair is not responsible for gym partners' actions. Gym partners are independent businesses. HyPair is not liable for any acts, omissions, advice, or conduct of any gym partner, their staff, or their facilities. Any issue arising at or with a gym partner is a matter between you and that gym.
Gym partners do not act on behalf of HyPair. A gym listing events or promoting HyPair to members does not make that gym an agent, representative, or affiliate of HyPair Ltd. Gym partners may not make legal, financial, or contractual commitments on HyPair's behalf.
No endorsement. The presence of a gym or event on HyPair does not constitute HyPair's endorsement of that gym's facilities, coaching, safety standards, or suitability for any particular athlete. You should conduct your own assessment before training at any venue.
Member data. Gym partners may not share their members' personal data with HyPair without those members' explicit consent. If you believe a gym has added your data to HyPair without your permission, contact us at hello@hypair.app and we will investigate and remove your data promptly.
Gym partner fees. Gym partners may pay HyPair a fee to list events or access partnership features. This commercial relationship does not affect how HyPair treats athletes or influence match results.
HyPair is a sports matching platform, not a dating app. HyPair is designed exclusively for finding doubles race partners for hybrid athletic events. It is not a dating service, romantic introduction platform, or general social network. Using HyPair for romantic solicitation, sexual messaging, or any purpose other than finding race partners is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account removal.
Race organiser relationships. HyPair is an independent platform and is not officially affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with HYROX, Spartan Race, Tryka, Athex, or any other race organiser unless explicitly stated. Reference to these events is for athlete convenience only. Race organisers' own terms and conditions govern event participation.
Reporting misuse. If another user contacts you for purposes unrelated to race partnership — including romantic solicitation, commercial promotion, or any behaviour that makes you uncomfortable — please report them immediately via the in-app report function or by emailing hello@hypair.app. We take all reports seriously and will act within 48 hours.
Your safety is important to us. While HyPair cannot supervise interactions between users, we ask all users to follow these guidelines:
HyPair maintains a report and block function. Use it. Every report is reviewed by our team within 48 hours. Accounts confirmed as posing a safety risk will be suspended immediately.
HyPair offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Subscription pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase.
We aim to keep HyPair available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend access for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.
We may change, add, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes that affect your use of the service.
The HyPair name, logo, brand, app design, and all underlying code are owned by HyPair Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish and EU law, HyPair Ltd is not liable for:
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under Irish law.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under the law of your country of residence that these terms cannot override.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of HyPair after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
